A Portrait of the Past - Wisconsin

My parents have a book titled "Portraits of the Past: A Photographic Journey Through Wisconsin".  I was looking through it not too long ago when I came across a neat photo and description...  Just wanted to share this with you...

Here's what the description reads to the left and bottom of the photos...

"The employees of the Rhyner Dress making Shop in Oshkosh - shown here in July of 1893 - were a particularly stylish lot.  The leg-o' -mutton sleeve had just been introduced earlier in the year, and already nearly all the ladies were wearing the new fashion."

"Wherever there were a few women, there was a market for the latest clothing styles.  This rustic millinery shop stocked ribbons, nosegays, bonnets, shawls, and hats piled high with flowers and bows - just the thing for the fashion-conscious woman of 1893."
