Photo Memory Quilt

First time making a photo memory quilt, and it went pretty well!
This was made for a friend's daughter's wedding last fall.
I forgot to take photos of it before giving it to Mary,
so she got these finished snapshots for me...
We purchased the pug centerpiece fabric on eBay,
as her daughter & son-in-law have and love pug dogs.
We pieced fabrics of her choice around the centerpiece, including photos
that we had printed on fabric of her daughter, son-in-law and their dogs.
We took it to Janny's Quilting in Weston, WI...
didn't she do a beautiful job!?!
Below is the quilt top before it was quilted...

Autumn Puppies & Winnie the Pooh

A couple of crib quilts I got finished up...

 No pattern available...
I just cut some fat quarters into squares and assembled and sewed them together.
It's the quilting that I just love!
This was long arm quilted by
Meandering Mary of New London, WI
The above crib quilt was sent & donated to:

Quilt and Pillow Set

I bought the fabric for this quilt awhile back, but didn't get it made until recently!
I completed and donated this set to my son's church school's
Winterfest 2014 Silent Auction a couple weeks ago.

Pattern for the quilt can be found in the August/Sept 2011 Issue of The Quilter magazine.
Pillow pattern can be purchased from Lilly*Blossom on Facebook.

"Night and Day"...with a touch of red

It's been awhile since I've joined an online swap...I used to be a regular at participating in craft swaps until life just got too busy.  I decided I needed to make the time for the Valentine's Day Swap 2014, since I just love Valentine's Day.
One of the items I made for my swap partner is this lap-sized quilt that I downloaded the free quilt pattern for a couple years ago, "Night and Day".  This swap gave me the perfect reason to make it, and was so happy to find out that my swap partner has always wanted someone to make her a quilt. :o)

This first photo is the picture that is on the pattern itself:

The next 3 pictures are of the version I made and called:
"Night and Day"...with a touch of red

This is a real simple and fun quilt to make.  The original version is a wall hanging quilt, but I wanted to make it a lap quilt, so I added the red border.  If you enjoy applique, you will surely enjoy making one of these quilts too!  You can download the free patten at: FabShopHop.com
